It was grounding and nurturing to my spirit. Such joy on that swing. My Angels and God, planted seeds of endless possibilities. A sense, that all of my purposes will unfold before me, that my being will just carry on in what ever task I am given, and that peace will be in my world. That same world that also contained, fear and confusion, from my Mom's unstable ability to understand and cope with the tasks laid before her.
A wonderful peace that swirled through my hair as I swung. Peace that filled me with positive energy, getting me through my childhood, through my Mom's desperate disposition. In my little heart, I feared her, and I feared for her. There was a pull, always, toward her. A pull that was my purpose, to understand and love her, no matter what.
Tears rise up as I write this, because my Mom was over the top so dear to me. Even though I went through stages of anger for her actions, I always find my footing at a true understanding of her emotional being from her childhood journey to any point along her life line.
GOD had given me a gift of great Empathy. To read others, to understand others, to connect to other's hearts.
Namaste!

How Do I Start This Blog? As close to the beginning as I can remember. :-)

https://www.yogabymarietta.com/heartsoulpurpose/childhood

https://www.yogabymarietta.com/heartsoulpurpose/childhood#comments

Uncategorized

A Little Background. More to come.............I was born in Cincinnati to Sam and Joyce Bucalo. Sam, a dedicated hard working young man, grew up in poverty, moved from house to house around the Cincinnati Tri-State as a boy. Joyce grew up in New Port, Ky experiencing poverty and walking the streets during the 1937 flood, trying to find a place to sleep. Both came from nothing, and were determine to give their children what they did not have. Like many Baby B [...]

A Little Background. More to come.............
I was born in Cincinnati to Sam and Joyce Bucalo. Like many Baby Boomer's Parents.
Purchased their first home in Northern Kentucky, moved to Mt Carmel, Ohio, to Dent Ohio, and to Delhi Township with their 4 children. Always making their way to a "better life".
My first memories are from Dent, Ohio....Hearn Road. I believe we moved there when I was 2 or 3 years old. Our home was a ranch, lovingly called a "Rack Shack", after the builder. The house was new, and the street was lined with homes that looked just like the one next to it. After a few years living in Dent, my Mom tried to sell this house. For 7 years on some Sundays my Dad would drop us kids off at the Western Wood Theater, or the Price Hill Roller Rink, while my Mom would hold Open Houses.
My mom didn't drive, so if we were going any where, when dad was not home, we would take a cab. Picture 4 kids in a cab to the grocery store. 3 girls and 1 boy, ages 1 to 6 years old. All completely tune into our directions, of how to act, what not to do, and the punishment if we did not follow her orders. When I think of her control, and the respect we had for her orders, she was a well organized oiled machine, with all her ducks in a row, and in prevention mode at all times. A mental awareness and high alert status that will prove to have worn her out physically, mentally, and spiritually.

I wanted to write a book. For ten years! A book about how I have been doing yoga for longer than I can remember, and not knowing it was yoga. Sharing my spiritual journey, receiving messages from God, and being greeted by his messengers, Angels. I have decided that writing a blog is not as overwhelming, and maybe a better platform for my thoughts. Hope you enjoy my reminiscing, enjoy our life similarities, and maybe even spark your own awareness of connecting your dots, to how you have Followed Your Heart. Namaste.
