Yoga for Beginners Introduction to Yoga for Beginners (Cincinnati's Westside Beginner's Yoga) Tuesdays 6-7 pm 10 class series For participants who have never tried yoga. This class will introduce each practitioner to a progression of Pranayama(Breathing Techniques), focus of Gaze, and Asanas(postures)leading to a unique practice for each participant. Modifying each posture to allow for individual needs. Developing a moving meditation. Building strength, flexibility, and relieving stress. Back, neck, and other joint issues will be addressed to create an individual practice for each student. Understanding how to create alignment, allowing each joint to flow, each muscle to strengthen and stretch in a protective nurturing movement, while calming the mind, and guiding your true self to blossom. NOTE: You must bring your own mat. When buying a mat, be sure the mat is at least 4" longer than you are tall and only 1/4" thick. Smell mat before buying, if it smells toxic it is.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga Practicing a gentle progression of postures to ease into a fulfilling Ashtanga Practice. Each class will include the basic sequence of postures. Yoga Therapy for the Back These classes focus on Stretching and Strengthening. Allowing the participant to learn a sequence of postures to sooth and nurture the Neck, Shoulders, Upper, Middle, and Lower Back. Learning how to sit,maximizing the use of props for comfort. Helping you to Integrate basic traditional pranayama practices into your current Yoga practice. Learn how pranayama leads to and enhances all our meditative practices naturally to a meditative state. Comb breathing with Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation techniques) and various sitting and walking meditative practices. You need not be an advanced asana practitioner to benefit from this workshop.
